Lots of ACC teams so it gives us a chance to see how good or bad we really are ... perhaps we can experiment with new strategeries and test new approaches to a game ie how to win if ahead by 18 points with 8 minutes left ... perhaps go into a zone and prevent inside EZ shots?, eat clock and work the ball for a close in high reliability type shot?, etc
Glad to see our Seniors get more time to play, and I hope JB comes back (he is good, but is he NBA good at this point in time ?)

But I thought you have been screaming that we need to run up and down the court and shoot as many times as possible.

The Gold Standard Strategery is to:
eat clock
prevent the other team from scoring points
And since your "eating clock", you have time to maneuver the ball to a chap who has the easiest, most high percentage of making it type shot ... ie the dunk, the layup, the shot jumper (a lost art)
Now, if in the midst of a game and NOT in a situation where your 18 points ahead and time is tight, you play basketball normally
Similar stratagem is used in Football, Hockey, Soccer, and game where there is a clock and the goal is to score more points then your opponent ... Cricket ? I dont know, I think the have "innings" ?

I know that is a strategy, but way too often, especially in FB, when we try to eat clock, and get conservative and just get in more of a "prevent" defense, we usually almost lose, or do lose. I know coaches don't want to run up a score, but too often it backfires on us. Take a look back at the Auburn game at their place the last time we played, or even the ND game this past year. I'd just as soon run the score up and beat the devil out of people.

You do realize that the NIT is made up entirely of under performing teams? They deserve to be exactly where they are. The "deserving" teams will be playing in the NCAA tourney.

I believe all NIT games will be away from Greenville as they have other obligations?
Clemson was suppose to be in the NCAAs! Not have to play more games at the Well.

I just want it to be over. We don't have a point guard and if we can't hit 3's we struggle to run a half court offense.
