Gallman ranked in Athlon's Top 10 running backs of 2016 |
Athlon Sports has released its latest article on Monday that
ranked the Top 75 running backs of 2016 and Clemson running back Wayne Gallman was listed #7 on the list.
"Gallman is the perfect complement to quarterback Deshaun Watson in Clemson’s high-powered offense," Athlon Sports said. "Not only is Gallman capable of breaking the big play on the ground or on receptions, but the junior is also adept at getting the tough yards between the tackles." Gallman had 283 rushing attempts for 1527 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season. He also showed his all-around offensive talents with 21 receptions for 213 yards and a score. Clemson is 12-0 in his career when he rushes for at least 100 yards. The Top 10 running backs of 2016 according to Athlon Sports were Leonard Fournette, Christian McCaffrey, Dalvin Cook, Royce Freeman, Nick Chubb, Samaje Perine, Wayne Gallman, Jalen Hurd, Saquon Barkley and Elijah Hood.
