The Oakland Raiders announced that receiver
Martavis Bryant was placed on the injured reserve list with a PCL injury ending his season.
Bryant suffered the injury against the Chargers on Nov. 11. The Raiders have been an injury-prone team in 2018 as they have had to put a total of 16 players on the IR. For the season, Bryant had 19 catches for 266 yards and zero touchdowns with three rushes for 23 yards. He will head for unrestricted free agency this spring and was probably hoping for a bigger season so a team would invest in him on a multi-year deal. Raiders coach Jon Gruden had high hopes for Bryant to make a significant impact with the team. "One of the more disappointing things that's happened to me really since I've been here," he said during a conference call. "We had high expectations for him with Derek Carr and our offense." Bryant was a fourth-round draft pick by the Steelers (118th overall) in 2014.
