Clemson ranked in Top 5 of Athlon Sports' rankings

Athlon Sports has released their projected team rankings for 2016 and it has Clemson ranked #4 behind only Alabama, Florida State and Ohio State.

"Even though the Tigers suffered heavy losses on defense, quarterback Deshaun Watson and the nation’s top receiving corps is more than enough to keep Clemson in the hunt for the national title," Athlon Sports said.

The entire list of ACC schools' rankings include Florida State (#2), Clemson (#4), Louisville (#18), North Carolina (#21), Miami (#27), Virginia Tech (#29), Pittsburgh (#38), Georgia Tech (#49), Duke (#53), North Carolina State (#59), Wake Forest (#64), Boston College (#65), Virginia (#72) and Syracuse (#75).

Clemson's instate rival South Carolina was a dismal #63 in the rankings just ahead of the Demon Deacons.
