Clemson fan explains his strange Swinney tattoo |
TigerNet.com had an article on Monday morning showing a Clemson fan unveiling his new Clemson tattoo on his left thigh that featured a rather strange-looking face of Dabo Swinney.
The die-hard Clemson fan spoke to News 19 on Tuesday afternoon and responded to the criticism of his oddly-looking tattoo of Dabo Swinney's face. "The tattoo I got is a style that most people don't appreciate," Clemson fan said. "I have only traditional tattoos, so I continued with this style. It's not supposed to be super detailed. I took a picture of Coach and it was simplified to fit within that style. Lot's of people are talking a lot of trash about it, but I didn't intend for it to look detailed." The Clemson fan went on to say that he is excited for the future of the Clemson football program and could care less what people think of his brand new tattoo. "Whether or not Tiger fans like my tattoo doesn't bother me. I got this because I can always look down and remind myself how great it is to be a Tiger. Win or lose, we have the best program in the nation. It's not about winning games; it's about building men. Even though I haven't been under his supervision, Coach Swinney has been a role model in my life that I have aspired to duplicate, and for that, I know he would be proud." The tattoo will have an added champion banner under Swinney's face if Clemson goes on to win the national championship. ICYMI Video of Swinney discussing the Swinney tattoo.
