CBSSports projects Clemson in the CFB Playoffs |
Bracketology expert Jerry Palm has released his
College Football Bowl Projections on Wednesday and has Clemson in the Orange Bowl against Ohio State (#1 seed) in the College Football Playoff Semifinals.
Clemson is projected to win the ACC and is slotted as the #4 seed. The Tigers (not Auburn) have had four straight 10-win seasons, a first for the program since Clemson had four straight 10-win seasons between 1987-90 and it also the first time the Tigers have won three straight bowl games since 1986-90. TCU (#2 seed) vs Auburn (#3 seed) is projected in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 31. In the current projections, the Pac-12 conference was left out of the playoffs. In-state rival South Carolina is predicted to play Virginia Tech in the Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 26.
