Anthony signs his NFL contract with Saints |
The Saints announced on Tuesday afternoon that the team has agreed to a
four-year contract with former Clemson linebacker
Stephone AnthonyStephone Anthony Spotrac.com that specializes on contract reporting said that Anthony signed a 4-year for $7.731 million with a signing bonus of $3,883,066 and an average salary of $1,932,929. Anthony was selected by the Saints in the first round with the #31st overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. He had 330 tackles, 34.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, three interceptions for eight yards, 18 quarterback pressures, 13 pass breakups, five caused fumbles and one recovered fumble during his Clemson playing days. He also was named a consensus first-team All-ACC selection his senior season with 90 tackles. The Saints will look at the Clemson rookie for help at the linebacker position after their release of veteran Curtis Lofton. The team's rookie mini-camp starts on Friday.
