Adrian Baker says thank you to Clemson

Clemson defensive back Adrian Baker has decided to transfer, a source told TigerNet on Wednesday afternoon. Baker took to his Facebook account on Wednesday night and wanted to thank Clemson University for all the fond memories.

"When you become a father, it forces you to make decisions that'll have a big impact on your child's well-being," Baker said. "With that being said, I would like to sincerely thank Clemson University for giving a kid from Hollywood, Florida an opportunity to earn a degree from a top 10 academic institution while simultaneously playing for the best football team in the country. I want to thank everyone that supported me throughout my four years at Clemson. I've made memories and friendships that I will cherish forever. I'll always be a tiger at heart!"

Baker missed the 2016 season while recovering from a knee injury suffered last spring, but he returned to practice late in the season and was expected to compete for a spot at cornerback this spring. He started three games in 2015, logging 253 snaps, and had 15 tackles and two interceptions in three games.

During his freshman campaign in 2014, he had one tackle in 46 snaps over four games.
