Walk-on Clemson running back Ty Lucas received a surprise ninth months in the making during Saturday's Military Appreciation Day game with Duke.
Clemson hosted a surprise reunion between Lucas and his dad. CPT Cody Lucas, United States Army, Signal Advisor with the 1st Security Forces Assistance Brigade, before the game. Per the video below, the elder Lucas has served in the U.S. Army for ten years with two tours overseas - in Korea and most recently in Afghanistan. The emotional reunion is captured on video and the Tigers' Lucas talked about it after the game. "It was a huge surprise," Lucas said. "It was the best thing ever. I was not expecting it at all. It was crazy."
