Updated ESPN Playoff projections for Clemson

A weekend off for college football's two perennial Playoff contenders, Clemson and Alabama, didn't render much change to ESPN's current Playoff predictions.

Both ESPN bowl predictors now have Clemson going to the Playoff semifinal Fiesta Bowl in a matchup with either Ohio State or Oklahoma. Neither see the Tigers moving on to a second-straight national championship, however.

In the four-letter network's panel of 14 CFP predictors, Clemson did lose two votes to make the Playoffs -- still holding the third-biggest tally among contenders (nine of 14 votes; Alabama and Ohio State with 13 of 14).

ESPN lead college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit kept Clemson at No. 3 after the weekend, with Ohio State still No. 1 and Alabama No. 2.
