The end of a season or a collegiate career isn't always a storybook ending like in the scripted Disney movies.
Clemson was knocked out of the 2019 NIT Tournament at home Sunday in the 63-55 defeat to the Wichita State Shockers. The trio of core performers in Elijah Thomas, Marcquise Reed, and Shelton Mitchell helped lead Clemson to a 20-14 overall record this season. Reed finished with 1,484 career points at Clemson and stands 12th all-time in Clemson history. Check out their heartfelt goodbyes to Clemson nation via their personal Twitter accounts: #ClemsonFamily , Thank you Clemson for everything, the coaches, the fans, the students, the faculty, the alumni. I appreciate you all for the support along the way. Accomplished so many things in a 4 year span, can’t wait to see what God has next in store for me ??????????#LoveYaTigerNation @ClemsonMBB Thank you for everything and memories to last a lifetime, I hope I have as positive as an impact on you as you did on me.
Thank you for making my time here well spent . I’m truly blessed to have been apart of these great teams and more importantly this amazing UNIVERSITY! I appreciate everyone’s support going forward and this place will always be HOME. #14Out ???? pic.twitter.com/cUtF21xYNf
