Phil Steele picks Alabama over Clemson for CFB title, Michigan in playoff |
It's a new day but the same ole' yearly prediction.
Alabama vs. Clemson in this upcoming season's title game according to college football 'guru' Phil Steele. Steele was interviewed on "The Opening Kickoff" on WNSP-FM 105.5 on Wednesday and thinks that the Crimson Tide will win it all this season. “I’m going with Alabama this year,” he said via AL.com. "When I look at Alabama, I see their defense being stronger than last year with six starters back. They only lost five draft picks this year. That’s light for that side of the ball." “You have to look at 44-16,” Steele said. "That is going to be a highly motivating factor for Alabama." Steele also predicted Michigan and Georgia to be included in the upcoming college football playoff. “I think you have an undefeated Georgia and an undefeated Alabama battling for the SEC title game. I still think the loser makes the playoffs.” Yawn. I'm tired of the yearly overrated projections of Michigan with Jim Harbaugh at the helm. This is a similar Wolverine team that got rolled by Florida 41-15 in the last Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.
