Clemson Basketball was excellent last season posting a 25-10 record and made the school's first appearance in the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 since 1997.
The Tigers were ranked No. 15 by the Coaches Poll which is the first final top-25 rank since 2008-09 (AP: 24) and the best final ranking since a No. 8 finish after the program’s last Sweet 16 run in 1997. The No. 7 strength of schedule was the program’s best final ranking since 2003-04 (6). A No. 11 final RPI ranking matched Clemson’s best finish since the 1996-97 season. On Friday, Clemson Basketball's Twitter account posted a picture of their new blinged out 2017-2018 rings with 'Sweet Sixteen' in large lettering with '25 wins' and 'Clemson Grit' inscribed on the side.
