Jayron Kearse receives his NFL draft grade |
Clemson junior
Jayron Kearse told the media on Saturday morning that he received a second-round grade by the NFL Draft advisory board for the 2016 NFL Draft.
Kearse could use another productive year at Clemson to enhance his value to possibly move into the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. However, he will more than likely test out extremely well physically during this year's NFL combine if he decides to go that route. He had 82 tackles, six tackles for a loss and an interception on the season and was selected first-team All-American from ESPN and second-team All-American from the Associated Press. The 6-4, 220-pound Kearse had eight tackles in the 37-17 win over Oklahoma (11-2) in the 2015 Orange Bowl to help lead his Tigers (14-0) land in the National title game against Alabama on January 11.
