The Tampa Bay Buccaneers waived former Clemson kicker
Chandler Catanzaro on Monday.
Catanzaro missed two of his three attempts in a 16-3 Tampa loss to Washington, with 30 and 48-yard tries missing the mark. He had hit 11-of-15 on the year but missed four extra points as well. Catanzaro signed a 3-year deal before the season which had $3.75 million guaranteed and $9.75 million over the life of the contract. He is in his fifth year as pro and holds a career 83.2 percent FG make average. He was a two-time semifinalist for the Groza Award and left Clemson first in school history in points, extra points made and field goals of 40-plus yards.
