ESPN GameDay picks for Clemson-BC

by -

No. 2 Clemson goes for a fourth-straight Atlantic Division title tonight in an 8 p.m. kickoff (ABC) at Alumni Stadium versus No. 17 Boston College.

The Tigers head into the matchup as an 18.5-point favorite in their final road game this season.

ESPN’s College GameDay preview show was on site and offered their predictions:

Desmond Howard picked Boston College: I've played in some very cold places before and I know this affects a team from a warm weather area. I think because of the talent that Clemson has - these guys are going to come out and play of control, but when the weather smacks them in the face - it's a difference-maker. Boston College will upset Clemson.

David Pollack picked Clemson: They're (BC) going to have their hands full. I haven't seen enough from (BC QB) Anthony Brown to help the running game with AJ Dillon. This atmosphere gives you a chance because this is miserable (conditions). In the end, Clemson has too much skill, too much depth and runs away with it in the second half.

Celebrity guest picker Chris O’Donnell picked Boston College

Lee Corso picked Clemson

Corso has been right in his last four Clemson headgear picks (5-2 overall).
