Clemson showed off a mastery of Florida State in their 59-10 shellacking in front of a half-filled Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers stayed at the No. 2 ranking in the latest Coaches Poll and received two-first place votes (previously 2).

The top five teams ranked were Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, LSU, and Michigan (tied with Georgia). The Crimson Tide received 62 first-place votes in the poll and ahead of Clemson by only 61 points.

Clemson is one of eight schools to be ranked in both football and basketball alongside Michigan, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Syracuse, and Washington.

It was another week filled with upsets as decent teams lost including Texas, Florida, Washington, Texas A&M, Iowa, Oregon, Wisconsin, USF, North Carolina State, Stanford, and App State.

The most significant drop in the rankings was the Longhorns that fell eight spots to No. 15 after their road loss to Oklahoma State.

ACC schools in the top 25 include No. 2 Clemson, No. 22 Virginia, No. 24 Syracuse, and No. 25 Boston College. It is the first time that the Orange has been nationally ranked in football since 2001.

Check out Utah State as they enter the poll at No. 20 with their 7-1 record.
