Clemson DB added to Senior Bowl roster |
Clemson cornerback Mark Fields will represent the Tigers in the Senior Bowl, the game announced Friday.
Fields joins teammate Hunter Renfrow next week for the workouts before NFL coaches and scouts and the game on Jan. 26 at 2:30 p.m. ET on NFL Network in Mobile, Alabama. "While he wasn’t a full-time starter for Clemson, many scouts feel he was the best pure cover player in the southeast among seniors this year," Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy said of the addition. Fields posted two of his six pass breakups this season in the National Championship versus Alabama. He totaled 302 snaps with nine tackles. The Charlotte native logged an interception and 13 pass breakups over 963 career snaps with Clemson.
