Bowl Projections for Clemson |
Deja Vu. Will Clemson make a title appearance in back-to-back-to-back years?
Obviously, that is jumping the gun, but Clemson fans are feeling pretty optimistic after watching their team manhandle Louisville 47-21 last week and claimed a firm No. 2 ranking in the two major national polls. ESPN released their bowl projections for this week and had Clemson in the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl respectively. Both analysts had them winning their first playoff game and having a classic rematch with Alabama for Clemson-Alabama III. The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Cali. had (2) Clemson vs. (3) USC projection according to CBSSports.com's latest article. Sporting News has also jumped on the proverbial Clemson bandwagon with a projection of Clemson vs. Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl and a title rematch of Clemson vs. Alabama. As you can see, Clemson's impressive wins over Auburn and Louisville have quickly shifted Clemson's national media perception of not winning the ACC in 2017 to possibly playing in their third straight title game.
