Tigers Travel To Wake Forest

by - Correspondent -

Clemson will look to pick up its second ACC road win of the season Wednesday night in Winston Salem. The Tigers defeated Wake Forest earlier in the year in an overtime thriller in Littlejohn Coliseum.

Wake Forest has struggled to find consistent point guard play all season. Freshman Harvey Hale and Justin Gray have not been the answer to replace Chris Paul. Gray is the ACC’s second leading scorer at 19.6 points per game.

Gray can be a dynamic scorer, but he struggled against the Tigers full court pressure.

A vital part to the Tigers’ full court pressure may still be out. Vernon Hamilton is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game. Hamilton is still battling elbow and thumb injuries.

Hamilton terrorized the Deacons in the first match-up. The Tigers will need Hamilton to execute the full court pressure.

If Hamilton is not able to go, Shawan Robinson will need to deliver again for the Tigers. Robinson delivered against Maryland with a season high 24 points.

Robinson seemed a little more comfortable getting his shot from the point guard. The Tigers had a strong sense of urgency in attacking the Terrapins.

They will need that same intensity on the road Wednesday night.
