What were your thoughts on Jack's tirade?

It was probably due. The team was making uncharacteristic errors and was swinging at some really bad pitches. One thing that has not been stated is there was virtually no one left in the stadium when it happened, except for a few parents. Coach Leggett understands the team is getting close to exams, but he also knows that #7 Georgia Tech is coming to town and his team needs to be ready to play. In my honest opinion, the media should not be on the field until Coach Leggett is completely done addressing the team. Every other sport has their "cool down" time. The players did not have a major problem with it and obviously they were the ones it was directed at not the fans, so hopefully they will take it to heart and play well versus GT.

Is Clemson close to getting any commitments?

There is no one I see making a decision before Clemson's camp. I would not be surprised if one or two players committed while in camp like last year. The staff has gotten off to a good start and several players are saying the right things. There is not a lot of talent in South Carolina this year, so it will be very important to lock up the ones you are high on. Jamie Cumbie and Byron Maxwell will be two players we watch very closely once the summer heats up.

How does the early departures in the ACC help our chances in basketball next season?

North Carolina will be hurt the most, and unfortunately Duke will benefit the most. Greg Paulus and Josh McRoberts coming in will help put Duke in the early driver's seat. Erik Williams has not ruled out returning to Wake Forest, but one would have to imagine he has his concerns about who will distribute him the ball. Jarrett Jack has not made a decision on his future, but most sources indicate he will not return. Clemson will have experience returning. The early departures lighten the load, but nothing can be taken for granted. This team could potentially do some damage, but it is a long off-season, and still several questions to be answered. This team will have a shot to compete for an NCAA tournament bid, and I do believe they will be a tournament team next season. Off-season workouts and improvements will determine how much damage this team does next season.

Was South Carolina really more talented than Clemson the last two years?

LOL! Mickey had a great show the other day. It justs shows the fire never stops burning in this rivalry, although for the most part Clemson fans just responded in laughter. For clarification, South Carolina may have had more high school talent the last two seasons, but in college football it translated to 92-24 Clemson. Hope that answers your question!
