Mickey, I really think we are the most blessed team in the country or we just have the nastiest defense in the country. Not sure which way I am leaning. How do you lose the turnover margin as many times as we do and still win the game? Take Kent State out of the picture, but two fumbles against Auburn and still win. Clemson is living on borrowed time should the trend continue against Louisville. Winning the turnover margin should be the recipe for victory, but we seem to buck that trend. I'm confident Dabo will address it; however, if we turn it over 5 times in this game, look out! Stuart

Clemson has been very blessed and has perhaps the nation’s top defense. I think this is definitely one of the top five defenses in the country. But usually, you are blessed when you are talented. The better team gets lucky more than the inferior team. Deshaun Watson was good enough to overcome turnovers. I am not sure this offense can do the same. Last year Clemson turned it over five times against Louisville and won. They can't turn it over five times and beat many teams this season. The staff continues to address it, but turnovers are bigger now. This offense does not have the margin of error that they have had.
For me, Saturday was another great night in The Valley because of the Clemson defense and Hunter Renfrow. What else can be said about the performance of the defense except WOW. Hunter Renfrow is cheered every time he is on the field for the catch against Alabama but I continue to be amazed that he catches everything. Whether or not you like Tom Brady or the Patriots, can't you see Renfrow playing in that system and catching passes? Replay the game and watch how clutch Hunter Renfrow is because he deserves more credit than he receives.
Make no mistake about it, the win against Auburn was a huge deal. Auburn recruits the same fast, big, mean kids that Alabama, Florida State, Clemson and the other big teams do and they are a good team. This was a big win for Clemson and after last week, a big win for the ACC but now the game at Lamarville is even bigger.
Louisville is a very good team and the fact that the game is at night and is a revenge game for them makes it an even bigger game. We will not ever admit that Jackson deserved to win The Heisman last year but after his first two games this year, he is well on the way to a repeat because ESPN can make it happen again. Coach V and the Tiger defense had a heck of a time trying to slow down Jackson last year and with a year under his belt, he may be even better this year. It is only week 3 but somehow this feels like an elimination game for the ACC and the Playoffs for both teams because there is no set of circumstances where the ACC gets 2 Playoff teams. Big game does not even describe Saturday night.
That was a huge win for many reasons. I am at the point where nothing Hunter Renfrow does surprises me. I think Auburn is very good on defense and had a good plan to shut down the running game.
I want to believe that this is the ACC Atlantic division title game, but my experience tells me that football seasons are long and unpredictable. Their schedule is weak, but I don't think Louisville is good enough to assume that they will not lose a couple of games after Clemson. This is a huge game, but I am not ready to hand the division to the winner. There is still a lot of football to be played.
