Depth Chart Anticipation

At Dabo Swinney's first regular season press conference today we get our first look at the depth chart. Here are a few things I will be looking for:

*I hope it won't be a factor this week, but I will look for the listing for the backup at quarterback. My guess is that Schuessler and Bryant will be listed as co-backups.

*I have no idea what to expect at running back behind Gallman. My guess is Choice will be the second team guy but will others get listed and what order will they appear? I think Feaster plays Saturday night but when and how much is a myster1y.

*The staff will play six or seven wideouts Saturday and the fourth, fifth and sixth guys will get plenty of snaps, so the depth chart here is not a huge deal.

*We know Leggett will be the starter at tight end, and my guess is Williams will be the backup. Will Richard make the depth chart?

*At left tackle I think Anchrum will be the backup, but my guess is Hearn would be the first in the game if Hyatt needed a breather. However, they say they won't hesitate to bring Anchrum in games this season.

*I think the same can be said at right tackle behind Fruhmorgen. Pollard may be the listed backup, but Hearn or Morris may be the slotted player if needed.

*Morris should be the backup at one guard, but I will be interested to see if John Simpson is listed as a second-teamer at the other guard.

*On defense perhaps the biggest question mark is defensive end. My guess is Wilkins will start at one defensive end and maybe Ferrell at the other, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Yeargin as a starter either.

*Like the wideouts, Clemson will play so many defensive tackles throughout the opener. However, I am interested to see where Dexter Lawrence will be listed.

*My guesses are there will be no surprises at linebacker. Boulware will be backup up by Williams and Smith. Joseph will be backed up by Lamar. O'Daniel should be backed up by Williams. I am not sure if they will list the nickel back position today.

*The secondary should see Tankersley and Fields as the starters at corner. I think Carter, Edmonds, and Mullens will be listed in some order as the backs, but I am interested to see where Mullen is listed. Smith and Jadar Johnson will be the safeties, but will Wiggins be listed as a safety or nickel? Will Carter be listed there as well or will the backups be Denzel Johnson and Muse? Also, where will Wallace be listed corner, nickel or safety?

*Finally, who will be the starters at punt return and kickoff return? I think there are some talented options available for those spots on the depth chart today as well.
