Hendrix Finishes Second at Porter Cup

LEWISTON, NY – Clemson golfer Matt Hendrix compiled a 12-under-par 268 over four rounds to finish second in the 45th Annual Porter Cup at Niagara Falls Country Club over the weekend. The prestigious tournament featured some of the premier amateur golfers in the country with 26 of the top-32 players as ranked by Golfweek/Titleist participating in the 72-hole medal-play event.

Hendrix fired rounds of 64, 67, 67 and 70 to finish two strokes behind champion Casey Wittenberg. The returning All-American was one of three Tigers in the top 15. Jack Ferguson finished 11th at -7 and Gregg Jones placed 14th with a -5.
