CLEMSON RECRUITING

Two Prospects Commit to Tigers

by -

According to MickyPlyler.com, Union running back Kyle Browning has committed to play football at Clemson. The 5-9, 165-pound senior lead Union to its second straight Class AAA state title last weekend with a 28-16 victory over Manning.

As a junior, Browning rushed for 1850 yards with 29 touchdowns and he followed that up with almost 2000 yards rushing in his senior campaign.

Browning has an official visit to Clemson scheduled for January 12. Browning chose the Tigers over South Carolina and Georgia Tech. Clemson is also heavily recruiting his teammate High School All-American wide out Roscoe Crosby.

Also committing to the Tigers on Tuesday was defensive back Curtis Baham Jr. of New Orleans. During an in-home visit with Tiger running back coach Burton Burns, Baham decided to give his commitment to Clemson. The 6-1, 180 pound senior from Carver high school also played wide receiver, but says the Tigers recruited him as a safety or a corner.

Baham also participates in track and was a state qualifier for his school as a weightlifter. His father played six years in the NFL with the Seahawks and the Cowboys.

Baham also drew interest from South Carolina, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miami, Georgia and Notre Dame. His official visit is scheduled for January 12.
