Top Defensive End Commits to Tigers |
CLEMSON, SC -- According to MickyPlyler.com defensive end Charles Bennett from Camden, SC has committed to Clemson after a visit from Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden on Tuesday.
The 6-4, 215-pound Bennett recorded 85 tackles and 8 sacks as a junior. He followed that up with 98 tackles and 14 sacks as a senior. Bennett will join his former high school teammate Mo Fountain at Clemson next fall. Mickeyplyler.com ranks Bennett as the No. 8 player overall in the state of South Carolina. He was also selected to play in the SC North-South All-Star Game. Bennett chose the Tigers over South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. He was recruited by Clemson assistant Brad Scott.
