One week into it, any surprises? Keith Kelly stood out like we were hoping he would and he did…J.J. McKelvey stood out. You know, it’s hard to tell on the line. He’s short and is going to have to learn how to play tall. Got to learn how to play tall. Bobby Williamson did good. Ben hall made a couple of good catches. One lost turnover. That’s pretty good. I don’t like the fact that we put it on the ground. Overall impression of the defense: Very first scrimmage of the 2002 team, so you’re not going to have a polished product or anything close. The longer they stayed on the field they wore out, but we don’t work on any conditioning. Just upper body work. What you would like to see is some unity. It’s had to expect a whole bunch in the first scrimmage. On the large number of offside penalties: Better correct those. Todd had two or three and I was about to stop it and say hold on a second. Here’s a guy that’s been going on audible snap count for two years and you put him over there and get him. Poor brad did that to him. I was real pleased Future scrimmages: Have three full scrimmages left. Have a game and two more, but have some half scrimmages. Whatever the NCAA allows.
