Tiger Notebook: Injured Tigers practice full speed

Quarterback Play

Both Brandon Streeter and Woodrow Dantzler practiced on Wednesday. Head coach Tommy Bowden felt both had a good practice. On Streeter’s injury Bowden said, “It is not bothering him. I was surprised that it was not very sore. He probably threw yesterday more than he has ever threw before. But overall, he looked pretty good." However, Bowden still thinks Streeter will only play in an emergency type role and Streeter is still not yet cleared to play for Saturday's game against Wake Forest. The doctors will decide on Friday about Streeter's availability. On Dantzler, Bowden commented that "I doubt he is 100% on his knee, but he is alright."

T.J Watkins returned to Practice

Watkins practiced all day on Wednesday after a bruised knee kept him out of the last practice. "He practiced all day today full tilt,” Bowden said. “He had a rollerblade brace on his knee."

Zachery Progression

Travis Zachery who missed the first game of the year after getting into some off the field trouble is now drawing some praise from head coach Tommy Bowden. "We are getting about all we can get from him. He practices hard and plays hard,” said Bowden. “He especially played hard against Florida State.‘ Zachery is currently Clemson’s leading rusher with 423 yards on 109 carries and 7 touchdowns.

Where is Javis?

Running back Javis Austin has not had a carry in over three games. "His future is tailback or fullback for the remainder of the year,” said Tommy Bowden. “With our fullback scheme, he can play fullback rather well." Austin has only 101 yards on 31 carries this year.

Basketball News

Point guard, Will Solomon hurt his shoulder in practice but will be probable for the first exhibition game.
