CLEMSON RECRUITING

Recruiting: Richardson Has Mind Set on Clemson

by -

Barry Richardson

Offensive lineman

Wando High School (Mount Pleasant, SC)

6'7", 330 lbs, 5.4 seconds.

At a towering 6'7" and 330 lbs., Barry Richardson is the kind of

offensive lineman that college coaches dream about. And after making

his official visit to Clemson this past weekend, Richardson made the

Clemson coaching staff's dream come true.

"I decided to commit after making my visit," Richardson said. "My host

was Greg Walker, and I had a great time while I was there. The players

on the team treated me as a friend, and that really meant a lot to me."

Although Richardson, who helped lead Wando to a 6-6 record, will visit

South Carolina this weekend, his commitment with Clemson still remains

firm.

"I do plan on still making my visit to South Carolina, but I don't see how

anything could possibly change my mind about wanting to go to

Clemson."

Richardson has already qualified academically. The Wando lineman is a junior

on the football field but is a senior academically and will graduate this spring early.
