Keith Adams Questionable for South Carolina Game

CLEMSON, SC -- Clemson Head Coach Tommy Bowden said after practice Wednesday that

All-America linebacker Keith Adams suffered a concussion during practice on

Tuesday. He suffered the concussion during a drill when he made contact

with red-shirt tackle Derrick Brantley. He is listed as questionable for

the South Carolina game at this point.

"I was surprised that he had the concussion," said Bowden. "We

have injuries like this due to contact at practice all the time. He had an

MRI done and the findings were that he had a concussion. We will evaluate

his status as the week goes on. We probably won't know anything for sure

until just before the game."

Bowden said if Adams can't go that Rodney Feaster would start in

his place. Ironically, Feaster made his only career start at South

Carolina last year. In Clemson's 31-21 win last year Adams made 27

tackles, a Clemson school record.
