Clemson Accepting Donated Bowl Tickets and Plans Bus Trip

by -

Clemson, SC-Clemson fans may purchase Mazda Tangerine Bowl tickets

through the Clemson Ticket Office and have them donated to the Dream

Ticket Clearinghouse of Central Florida. Clemson Ticket Manager Van

Hilderbrand made the announcement on Wednesday.

Tickets will be used by Youth Organizations in the Orlando

area. Donors will receive acknowledgement from the Clearinghouse and

the Clemson Athletic Department for their donation. Shannon

Travrides of the Florida Citrus Sports Foundation oversees this

project.

Fans can call 1-800-CLEMSON, (864) 656-2118 or (864)

656-2115 to order tickets.

"Clemson fans contributed almost 1000 tickets to youth groups

in the Boise, ID area last year for the Humanitarian Bowl," said

Hilderbrand. "It was very well received and we have had fans ask

about a similar program this year. We hope Clemson fans who can't

go to the Tangerine Bowl will donate a ticket so a young person can

enjoy the game."

Tangerine Bowl Ticket Purchasers to Receive a Bonus

Van Hilderbrand also announced on Wednesday that fans who

purchase tickets to the Mazda Tangerine Bowl will receive a

complimentary ticket to the Clemson vs. Furman game at Death Valley

on September 6, 2003, or the Clemson vs. Middle Tennessee State game

on September 13, 2003. Fans will receive a coupon for every bowl

ticket they purchase.

Fans will receive a coupon to be exchanged for the

complimentary ticket. The coupon cannot be used toward the purchase

of season tickets or any other ticket package.
