TEAM by TEAM NOTES:

Tigers -- Clemson had six players in double figures and ran its record to 2-0 with a 91-65 win over High Point, Nov. 27 ... senior guard Edward Scott had 14 points and 10 assists against the Panthers ... Scott has had more assists than turnovers in 35 of his last 38 games and is fourth on the school’s all-time assist list with 450 assists ... sophomore Sharrod Ford is second on the team in scoring (12.5) and tied for fourth in the ACC in field goal percentage (.647).

Blue Devils -- Tuesday’s game in the Greensboro (NC) Coliseum will mark the fifth meeting between Duke and Ohio State and the two schools have split the previous four meetings ...now in his 28th year of coaching , Mike Krzyzewski has faced 166 different opponents ... the Blue Devils own a 50-21 all-time record vs. teams currently competing in the Big 10 Conference ...Duke is 123-23 during the month of December in 23 years under Mike Krzyzewski.

Seminoles -- Michael Joiner scored 19 points and freshman Todd Galloway added 14 Monday night as FSU beat Iowa 80-67 in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge ... the Seminoles are 3-0 for the first time in five seasons ... in their first two games, the Seminoles are allowing only 53.3 points per game and have held their opponents to a .341 percent shooting from the field, forced 26.3 turnovers per outing ... Joiner has made 20 of his first 25 field goal attempts and leads the ACC in field goal percentage (.800) ... junior Tim Pickett leads the ACC in steals (4.3).

Yellow Jackets -- Tech ran its record to 3-0 with Sunday’s 75-53 win over Gardner-Webb ... 6-10 freshman forward Chris Bosh has reached double figures in both scoring and rebounding in his first three games and earned ACC Freshman of the Week honors ... 20 of Bosh’s 36 rebounds have been offensive ... another freshman Jarrett Jack is averaging 11.7 points and 7.3 assists per game ... Tech’s 83-77 win over No. 17 Georgia (N27) was the Team’s ninth victory over a ranked team in Hewitt’s two-plus seasons.

Terrapins -- Maryland has started five seniors in each of its first three games ... with 13 assists in Saturday’s win over Duquense, senior point guard Steve Blake moved into sixth place on the ACC’s all-time assist list with 777 ... Blake has 19 double-digit assist games ... the Terps have won an NCAA-best 87 consecutive games at home ... Maryland has forced 66 turnovers in the last two games and is allowing a league-low 45.6 points per game on the season ...Terps have won 27 of their last 29 games.

Tar Heels -- UNC starts three freshmen - Sean May, Raymond Felton, Rashad McCants - and two sophomores - Jawad Williams and Jackie Manuel ... McCants earned ACC Player of the Week honors and leads the ACC in scoring (21.2) while May is sixth in rebounding (9.2) ...North Carolina is allowing 58.8 points per game as compared to last year’s 78.9 per game yield ... opponents are shooting only .346 from the floor ... this is the best start for UNC since it went 8-0 in 1998-99, a season that also included a Pre-Season NIT title game win over Stanford.

Wolfpack - Julius Hodge scored a game-high 16 points and handed out four assists as NC State ran its record to 2-0 with a 58-37 win over Coppin State Saturday ... the Wolfpack is 2-1 in ACC-Big Ten Challenge play ... four State players are averaging in double figures - Hodge (17.5), Marcus Melvin (13.0), Josh Powell (13.0), Scooter Sherrill (10.0) ... Hodge leads the team in scoring, assists (3.5), steals (4.0) and minutes played (36.5) ... Melvin leads the team in rebounding at 7.0 boards per game while Powell is second (6.5)

Cavaliers -- Travis Watson has opened the season with three double-doubles in the first four games and is second in UVa history with 41 career double-doubles - second only to Ralph Sampson’s 84 ... Watson leads the Cavaliers in scoring (16.0), rebounds (11.5), blocked shots (3.3) and steals (2.3) ... sophomore Keith Jenifer leads UVa in assists (6.7) and has a 3.4-to-1 assist to turnover ratio ... eight players are averaging 13.5 minutes or more per game ... seven different players have started at least two games for the Cavaliers.

Demon Deacons -- Wake Forest’s 83-76 win over Temple Sunday marked the fourth-straight year that the Deacons have started the season 2-0 ... freshman Eric Williams had 19 points and 10 rebounds against the Owls ... Williams has scored in double figures in both games of his young career and is sixth in the ACC in scoring (16.5) ... nine freshmen and sophomores are on the Deacon roster ... Josh Howard is 28th on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,193 points, 20th in rebounds (601) and eighth in blocked shots with 98.
