CLEMSON -- Rising sophomore guard Terrence Oglesby spent the past week playing for Norway in the FIBA Under 20 European Championships. Oglesby, who was born in Norway and is a citizen of the country as well as the United States, was the leading scorer in Division B at the tournament at 24.4 points per game. The tournament was held August 2-10 in Romania.

Oglesby led the Norwegians to a 3-5 overall record and 11th-place finish out of 19 teams. Not only did he lead the Division in scoring, but he also was the tournament leader in three-point goals per game (3.8) and free throws made per game (5.1). Oglesby also contributed 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. He shot 40 percent on three-point goals and 45 percent overall.

On August 2, Oglesby opened the tournament in fine fashion against Finland. He poured in a tournament-high 32 points in 33 minutes of action. On August 6, he scored 29 points against the Czech Republic on 4-10 three-point shooting and 9-12 free throws. He added eight rebounds in that contest.

Oglesby scored 21 points and added seven assists against Austria on August 9. He made a tournament-high five three-point baskets in that contest. He contributed 20 points in just 20 minutes of play in a dominating win over Ireland. He also collected five steals in that game. He finished strong on Sunday with 22 points in 18 minutes as Norway routed Hungary, a team featuring a pair of 7-footers.

"It was a great experience, one I really enjoyed," said Oglesby, who scored at least 20 points in all eight games played. "I thought we competed well, despite having a disadvantage in size in most games. The skill level of the players was incredible, everyone here can play the game."

Oglesby has had a busy summer. He spent time training in Houston, TX with John Lucas and also trained in Atlanta, GA for the second straight summer. He played in a summer league in Knoxville, TN as well. He earned honorable mention for the ACC's All-Freshman team at Clemson in 2007-08 after averaging 10.5 points per game.
