Never priced anything from ES. I live in the midlands and don’t want to move a bed that far.

The local Mattress Firms around here are doing 72 months no interest.

It’s a chain store, I know, but that is a really good deal. You should be able to find something nice.
And those Saatva Mattresses are highly regarded. I just have never laid on one so I have no clue if the hype is true. I’ve wonder about those and Casper, Leesa, etc. brands.
Just plan on spending a grand or more on something you actually like.

Sleep Number. We have had one since 2007 and love it. It's great to be able to adjust the firmness on both sides to suit individual taste - all with a remote.

If you live in the Midlands forget the chain stores. Go to Best Mattress in either W. Cola or on Devine Street. They can make you a well priced custom mattress to suit your needs. They make units that can be flipped which will extend the life of your mattress. My wife and I bought one of their floor models at a great discount.
Hope this helps?

Engineered Sleep, Congaree Rd, Greenville.
Great Clemson people. Check out the pocketed coil mattress. Custom made to your needs.

We got a $900 Serta last year for $200 cause the furniture store was going out of business. But always remember, prices are negotiable. Some people are just too proud to ask for a better deal. If you aren’t one of those, it never hurts to ask. All they can say is no.

I can only speak for my wife and I.I had heard advertising on wccp for some long time and we neededa mattress and decided to give Engineered Sleep on Congaree road in Greenville a shot since at least one of the owners is a Clemson grad.In short they built the mattress we wanted with a guarantee if it wasn’t right they would make it right. They build to your specs and we have been very happy with ours and it was a fraction of the price we would have paid at a retail store

On all of them. We did that about 4 years back. We went in thinking we would like the sleep number but felt like a cheap air mattress to us. Ended up with a king size tempurpedic but I don’t think you can get a king for $2,000. This one was over $4,000 but I had back trouble most of my life but no more so would trade it for nothing.

Had a sleep number and hated it

Wish we had realized it I the first 30 days. Started out great but too padding very quickly got a sink hole and on a king there is a definite ridge in the middle. Have slept on tempurpedic and I just don’t like the lack of any spring. Agree with all that you should literally spend hours in a mattress store trying them out. We ended up with a Beautyrest World (the confusing thing is it’s called different names in different stores so you have to look st the coil count and types and amount of padding to compare prices between stores). Been almost 2 years and we still love it.

Why didn't you pump it up if it had a sink hole?

Puffy Mattress. We found that after a couple nights of tryout, the "normal" side was just too soft for us. But, the whole thing is layers of memory foam, with ~3 inches of the softest on top, then firmer below. So, since the mattress cover is unzippable (but not easy to do on California King size, which is what we bought) we unzipped it, flipped the mattress over, and zipped the padded cover back on. The firmer foam is PERFECT for us. Have been sleeping on it for ~3 months now, no pockets, no sinks, hope it will last many years. For me personally, I have had 3 lower back surgeries, so finding a mattress that is comfortable for me to sleep on seemed like a quest for the White Whale for awhile there. Very happy with the upside down Puffy.

I recently bought a king Serta iComfort at a Mattress firm outlet. It's a $2500 mattress in the regular Mattress Firm stores. The mattresses at their outlets are about half price. Think I paid just over $1200 with taxes. Love the mattress - memory foam with cooling gel. Sleeps well!

Definitely Sleep Number. Have one in the camper, two in the house as we switched to a King this year. Can adjust the firmness on each side. Great for people with neck or back issues.
