Mine came very close to being "Oh sh@t I'm falling". My wife was cooking breakfast and I was checking my fasting blood sugar...so she was right there when I dropped dead. Amazingly I survived even though I died and came back 6 times that day, one of them lasting 20 minutes with no heart beat. I remember saying something only twice...the same thing both times, once at home and once in the ER. My wife, who was there both times said all she heard was "Aaurugh" or something to that effect. After going on a lap around the ICU at Baylor, like a week and a half later, the nurses were getting me back into bed and I clearly remembering saying "Oh sh@t"...no heart beat for about a minute that time when they hit me with paddles to bring me back. My nurses backed me up on that one. They heard me correctly. Anyway, I'm kinda hoping when I get better at the whole dying thing (not practice)...and it is final, I'll have something philosophical, profound, witty, revealing, or something just down right cool to say.

saved my wife’s life 29 months ago after a 7 hour open heart surgery, they had me come into ICU prior to bringing her out of the anesthesia. They asked me to stand in front of her as they pulled the tube. Their main concern was brain damage from the length of the surgery, and I was there for recognition/response.
So, I’m standing there scared s***less as she slowly begins opening and closing her eyes. Then the tube was pulled, she looked at me, and whispered hoarsely with smile on her face “#### it’s good to be alive”
Now, tears are running down my face and I’m grinning ear to ear as the surgeon says, “I think she’s going to be fine.”
Anywho, this is a timely topic, because just last night my wife posed this same question to me and I told her without hesitation, “####, it was a magical life.”
And it truly has been.
