Alabama will have to make some changes defensively if they want to win Monday night.
That’s at least what ESPN college football analyst and Heisman winner Tim Tebow said in a “SportsCenter” segment Sunday. Tebow says the Crimson Tide gameplan will have to feature more aggressive plays around the line of scrimmage. “Kelly Bryant has faced some good defenses," Tebow said, "particularly Auburn, but he hasn’t faced an Alabama-Nick Saban healthy defense that’s been preparing for the last three weeks for Kelly Bryant. It’s one of the hardest things to do as a young quarterback.” Alabama has surrendered 1,061 yards and 37.5 points a game over the last two meetings with Clemson, but despite some injuries this season, they do lead the nation in total defense (257.8) ESPN's Booger McFarland says Dabo Swinney’s Tigers will get Alabama’s best shot. “Guys will be healthy. Guys will be motivated,” McFarland said. “This will be the best Alabama defense you’ve seen all year, going back to the game against Florida State. That’s what Nick Saban has done for the last four or five weeks. They’ll be fresh. He’s skeptical of what Alabama and Oklahoma can do against some stout defenses Monday: While I think any of the 4 teams can win tomorrow I think the Biggest surprises tomorrow would be if Oklahoma or Alabama some how get in the 30’s against their respective opponents without defensive or special teams TD’s
