Moehler will most likely be brought along slowly, and it's hard to say how effective he'll be after coming off an injury. I'd like to have a more proven #2, and if Bell leapfrogs him, so be it. Counting on young and recovering players is a bit risky.

Are we just assuming that Titsworth can’t get the job done? Or that he should just be back in the bullpen where he can be used twice a weekend?

Drew needs another quality pitch to be a starter beyond two cycles of the lineup. Let’s see how that develops, but right now I see him replacing Reed Garris out of the bullpen. Moehler will be ramping back from the rehab so don’t expect to see him in a weekend start until May, and that’s assuming he’s throwing well. They need to find another proven and healthy Sat/Sun starter to hedge all the what if’s with this current slate of pitchers.
