I think Biden’s gas tax holiday is a bad idea.

This article outlines some reasons why:
https://www.npr.org/2022/06/22/1106642582/biden-wants-a-gas-tax-holiday-some-economists-say-thats-a-bad-idea
I don’t think that savings, assuming it’s actually passed on to the consumer, will make much of a difference for people’s bank accounts. Plus, the holiday will be short-lived and does nothing to address the actual problem.
To me, the gas tax holiday makes it look like he’s trying to do something even though it’s pretty insignificant.
I don’t think it’s the president’s fault that gas is as expensive as it is, nor do I believe it’s his job to try to fix it.

Actuality his administration is doing everything they can to kill energy production and make gas prices as high as possible.

No, this administration isn’t trying to raise gas prices.

Get real.
You do realize that the gas shortage is a worldwide problem, right? It’s not specific to the U.S. and isn’t Biden’s fault, no matter how much you want it to be.

have zero effect on the economy. Biden's promise to end fossil fuels backed up by many executive orders restricting access and increasing the cost of supply has no effect, no effect at all. It's Putin's fault.

Wonder why they can’t take Biden at his word when he promised to destroy the gas and oil industry?

If he wants to do something, do something that goes straight to consumers.

a 20 gallon tank. Yay - it will only take another 28 fill ups of that 20 gallon tank to result in one "free" tank of gas from all the savings. What a bargain - buy 28 (at a cost of $2,800) and get 1 free...

You mean you don't think $8/month for the rest of the summer is a big deal?
Remember, as Joe's dad supposedly used to say, it's just a little breathing room.
