I made it to 78 today. My Pop made 79, so maybe I will also?
The last CDC results show the average death age of men is 74.2 and women is 79.9. I guess that is because us guys take good care of our womens.
My thinking is if Methuselah made it to 969, surely I can party on until I am at least 150.
Anything I die of now could be considered "old age", and over due.
Does that mean I can now eat and drink what ever I like? I already do that.
Just read where yet another old guy fell off his lawn mower and was killed. That happens a lot to old guys, and why I have not had one for decades (that and I am lazy).
I read the leading cause of death these days is doctor prescribed drugs.
I don't take any of those, had a prescription for poison ivy about ten years ago.
Us old hippies claimed we never wanted to see 30. When we got to 29 changed our mind as fun was still about.
At 78 I'm still having some fun.

😂😂 That and we take such good care of them. Most people that know us think my wife is 10 years younger than me, but she is actually a couple of months older.

The “old age” comment reminded me of the scene from “No Country For Old Men”. Sheriff Ed Tom seeing a gunshot victem says “I guess you could say he died from natural causes.” The deputy says “Natural Causes!?!?” Ed Tom replies “Yeah, natural to the line of work he was in”. Ha

I use a push mower instead of a riding mower since I have about 1/3 of a acre to mow, so I shouldn't fall off of it. I'm in my 60s, so it's harder than it was years ago, but's it's still some good exercise. Glad you're still running and enjoying life.

78 is far to old, I only want to live to 65. This way I do nto have to save for retirement and can live the good life before I become arthritic and have my first debilitating stroke.
