I'd like to add to maybe consider a very slight drop shadow for those white components that create such harsh edges. You see my sig is very large compared. Just show that little extra separation.

On April 7, 1979, Clemson baseball obliterated NC St by the impressive score of 41-9. Over nine innings, Clemson averaged more than 4.5 runs per inning. According to ClemsonTigers.com:
“The final score was an incredible 41-9 tally that was not believed by anyone, especially at the newspaper sports desks, who were receiving reports that Clemson had just beaten N.C. State at Raleigh, NC by the lopsided margin on the diamond and not on the gridiron. It wasn’t a leftover April Fool’s joke, or someone getting their wires crossed, it was an unbelievable offensive explosion in the ninth inning that saw Clemson score 18 runs in the top of the ninth inning on April 7, 1979.
The Tigers went into the top of the ninth inning with a comfortable 23-8 advantage with the home-standing Wolfpack. When the dust settled, Clemson had batted around two and one-half times, producing 18 runs on 12 hits and tying a national record for most runs scored in a single game and in a single inning."

It is interesting that if the game had been played at Clemson – and assuming the scoring to be the same – Clemson would not have batted in the 9th and the score would have still been a blowout at 23-8.
Another ClemsonTigers.com article adds:
“The Tigers led 18-6 after four innings and capped off the day with 18 runs in the ninth. Robert Bonnette had three hits in the ninth in which 22 Tigers batted. Neil Simmons went 4-6 with three walks, six runs, three homers and a Tiger record-tying 10 RBIs. Dave Buffamoyer also set a record with seven runs, while Bonnette and Tony Masone had five hits apiece. Future major leaguers Tim Teufel and Bill Schroeder batted fifth and sixth, respectively, and combined for five hits, nine runs and nine RBIs.”

It is worth noting that in Clemson football’s 2018 National Championship run, Clemson defeated NC State 41-7 on the gridiron. Very similar score!

That is interesting to think about. I wonder if, at some point in that inning, they started using "nonpitchers." Perhaps the backup second baseman threw to a few batters.
I assume at some point you either run out of pitchers or you choose not to use certain pitchers in order to save their arms.

The number “41” is significant in multiple ways for Clemson baseball. Three-time All American Rusty Adkins holds the record for the longest hitting streak in Clemson’s amazing baseball history at 41! He boasts a lot of other great statistics as well!
ClemsonTigers.com describes Adkins as follows:
“Rusty Adkin’s 41-game hitting streak is one of the most revered records in Clemson Athletics. Recording at least one hit in 41 consecutive games is a milestone that has stood, not only at Clemson but the ACC since 1966. The “streak” started on April 10, 1965 (49 years ago) and ended late in the 1966 season.
…
He was Clemson’s first, and still the only, three-time All-American (1965-’67). In 1965, Adkins hit .444 on the year and did not strike out in 126 at-bats. He had a career batting average of .379 at Clemson and those were the days when the college game used wooden bats. Like his first career hit, his last career hit was a home run. Baseball America named Adkins to its All-College Baseball Team for the 1965-’74 era.”

Adkins might be best known for his 41-game hitting streak between April 10, 1965 and May 17, 1966. He went to the final plate appearance of a game needing a hit to continue the streak just three times. He hit .438 during the streak with three homers, eight triples, 10 doubles, 28 RBIs and 49 runs.
His 41-game hitting streak is the longest in ACC history and seventh longest in Division I history. He had multiple hits in 23 of the 41 games, including a five-hit game against NC State on May 16, 1966.
Adkins is the most decorated player in Clemson baseball history.
