That was hit at Wren tonight. We heard the car hit another car and then about 20 to 30 seconds later a scream. The driver kept on going after sideawiping a van and then hit someone walking...I do not know how serious....

run around the school right where that happened. What is senseless is that the car the driver hit first was at least 500 yards from where they hit the pedestrian.

I once had to watch a car being driven by a teenage girl (who I am pretty sure

was texting on her phone) dip off the shoulder coming at me, and veer out of control fishtailing across the road for at least a quarter mile before it finally flipped onto the roof. I had slammed on the brakes and pulled off to the side of the road, but I was still totally at the mercy of whatever she did at that point. Her car stopped on its roof on the opposite side of the road, about ten yards away.
VERY fortunately for her, she was miraculously unhurt, even though she must not have had her seat belt on, since she was lying inside on the roof of her car, with her hair out the window stuck underneath it. I found out later, she actually lived a few houses down the street from me, and graduated high school later that day, albeit with a shorter haircut.
I said all that to say, a car that has already been involved in a collision could easily proceed out of control for a considerable distance, if the driver was knocked silly, or the gas pedal stuck wide open. It certainly sounds like an incredibly unlucky tragic accident that took the pedestrian's life, in any event.
