Dem primary straw poll

Sep 14, 2023, 7:37 AM

This is purely out of curiosity. I’m not asking who you want to be the Dem candidate in 2024, but rather, who you think it will likely be, for better or worse.

Who will be the Dem candidate in 2024    [Results]

Biden
Harris
Kennedy
Newsom
M. Obama
Someone Else

Beshear, Shapiro and Whitmer are potential Democratic candidates

Really need more exposure to evaluate capabilities and positions.

No clue who it will be but Dems historically can’t resist shooting themselves in the foot. Pubs have recently taken up this bad habit as well.

We have beer, football and other sports to get us through.

Sorry, I didn't read the instructions.

Subtract 1 from Newsom and add 1 to Biden.

Answered Biden because I think Dem arrogance will believe he's the only one who can beat Trump again.

Biden will not be the democrat candidate. Won’t happen.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He certainly doesn't need to be

Sep 14, 2023, 11:20 AM

But not sure who they're going to rally around instead. Dumping Biden and Harris (they can't win with her) is a self-vote of no confidence in their chosen leadership, and that isn't a good luck for voters.

It’s not a good look but they won’t win with Biden or Harris. I just think America has seen enough.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I still think they win with Biden vs. Trump

America loathes Trump. They will come out in force--again--to keep him out of office.

And then we'll be stuck again with a mentally incapable president for four more years.

I think America has seen enough of Trump as well. That is why the race is close between te two.

Agree with Cata. Biden, unless health issues intrude. Which could absolutely bite the Dems if anybody but Trump winds up the GOP candidate.

Of course, the names under Biden on that list look incredibly grim too. Lordy. Please God, Nikki Haley, pull off a miracle and somehow secure the GOP nomination.

I would vote Harris as my top choice overall.

Haley that should say. Jeez....Harris isnt an option.

Well... unless Biden keel's over dead or is somehow

Sep 14, 2023, 10:48 AM

removed from office it appears the Democratic apparatus has already determined he will be the candidate in 2024. The fact that the DNC is not having any primary candidate debates solidifies Biden as the Democratic candidate - at least as far as the DNC is concerned which all but guarantees it.

Re: Well... unless Biden keel's over dead or is somehow

My thought is that they don't want debates so that when they install Newsome, or whoever, as the new nominee (should it come to that) it will be easier to pass them off to all of the same morons who voted for Biden as just another moderate Democrat. The less the general public knows the easier it will be for the DNC to get them elected and debates make that more difficult. Not to mention that Democrat debates in general are so full of nonsense that it reminds normal people that they shouldn't be in charge of a car wash, much less the country.

If they decide to get rid of Biden it'll happen once it's "too late" for debates and all of the parties considerable coffers will shift to the chosen one and that will be that.

"Biden" is doing everything Obama wanted to do...

Sep 14, 2023, 12:06 PM

He will be the nominee.
