Your Dream Clemson Line Up

Since the 2008 season when Dabo became our head coach, what would be your all-time offensive lineup? Think of this as fantasy football; I'm focusing strictly on talent, not off-field shenanigans. I know Sammy liked to smoke weed, and Deshaun had his preferences for massages—he really enjoyed those massages....
I’m considering players at the prime of their college careers, not their entire body of work. For fun, let's go with 4 wide receivers and a tight end. My lineup:
QB-Watson
RB-Spiller
TE-Allen
WR- Watkins
WR- Renfrow
WR- Hopkins
WR- Ross (I know this is controversial but in the 2018 season when he got heated up...he was as good as Watkins. Rewatch the 2018 Natty).

He's replacing Renfrow on my team. And Higgins over Ross. You don't have a back shoulder or fade route guy on your squad so I'm adding two. Renfrow is great on third down but cmon we got Nuk for that.

WR is pretty easy to pick the 4 imo. After the big 4 I'd say Ross, Antonio Williams, Renfrow, Artavis Scott, and maybe Wesco.

I did forget about Mike Williams...so maybe he would be in there instead of Moore. I still like the Moore pick though.

Tee Higgins not being in the WR group is just ridiculous. I'd got Higgins and Williams over Ross and Renfrow.

The hardest decision for me was choosing between Spiller and ETN, followed closely by opting for Watson over Lawrence. I went with my gut on both of those selections.
Regarding Ross over Higgins, I would argue that Ross's 2018 stats are better than Higgins's. While Higgins had more receptions and touchdowns, Ross had more overall yards. It's worth noting that it took a few games for Ross to see any significant playing time. In our three postseason games that season against Pitt, ND, and Bama, I believe Ross performed better...just look at the head to head stats. Although Higgins had a stronger overall body of work during his career, I think Ross gets the nod based on the 2018 season.
I will admit that selecting Renfrow may be a bit suspect, but the kid was incredibly clutch on third downs and consistently delivered in the biggest games. I could easily see Williams and Higgins making the team, but once again, I went with my gut.
If we were to do this again in two years, I agree that Wesco could be part of the conversation, as he is on the right trajectory. Who knows, maybe Klubnik will have an amazing 2025 season, win the Heisman, and change my perspective on my quarterback selection.
