Whoa. That's more than kinda like giving Norman Bates a knife.
I remember Captain Mullet hitting on my sister right in front of me back in the day down at Five Points. It might have even been at Group Therapy. Guy was brazen, I'll give him that.
Didn't go well for him, I do remember that. My sister was Pre-Med at USC and well, uppity - she married into Charleston old money, after becoming a doctor, which gives you some idea of how effective she is at Upwards Social Mobility - and Tanneyhill's style did not exactly light her Bunsen. The whole Bang Whoever/Wherever crew would have been doing facepalms. Approach vector and escalation technique was not exactly, uhm, nuanced.
Whatever, if I've ever met a cockier human being, I don't remember him. And I really do not see our man Steve being a successful bar owner. Moderation just doesn't really seem like his thing.

If I remember correctly, Group Therapy is where he had been drinking before going to the party where he got busted for underage drinking in 93. What goes around comes around.
