I'm not sure "rat poison" even matters at this point.
This team is stacked, the schedule is disparate, the talent is inescapable, the returning experience is #1 outright, & I'm not sure I can find more than one loss on the schedule outright, let alone three (!?).
I'm taking Clemson to go undefeated in the regular season, but -9.5 seems like a mortgage bet to me no matter how many national voices agree like this, you know?

they're mostly lazy and dont' really know anyway.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate good publicity, but i hope our guys view all this praise as rat poison and don't take any of it to heart. This team ain't nothing at this point. Gotta go prove it because all of that talk doesn't make any difference unless you let it.
I always had faith in DW4 or Trevor or CW42 and Boulware to block out all that noise and go get it done. Now its time for Cade to show he's in that same company and this defense to do likewise.

I don't know about y'all, but I actually like hearing about Clemson on national outlets every time, & especially when they're gleaming on us & calling us title contenders & saying good things.
It's June, after all, & if we don't care about people talking so highly about Clemson, I'm certain countless other fans across the sport do, you know?

So for the team…yes it’s just rat poison… but for fans it’s all just hype…I agree for our riz…this is good for us…very few will pick us to win because we have not lived up to the hype lately…but I feel this team will be one of Dabo’s best…IF…the kids can focus on playing ball like they were coached and the team leaders do their jobs to rattle face masks of anyy that let their eyes drift off line!!! That’s how good teams succeed!
