It was a good win but Wofford is a good socon team that's grossly overrated. They won a series against Dallas Baptist but imo we'll see that dbu is overrated this year too. They have a couple decent weekend starters. That said, we're hitting the ball as good as any Monte team the last few years.
See if it continues. Louisville is good, not a great team. We shouldn't have any problem taking the series. They've played a pretty weak schedule, hence their rpi is/was 40.

Right.
The biggest difference between top tier programs and the next is in pitching depth. Wofford saves their top 3 guys for the weekend conference series--so do we--but their next set of pitchers can't handle our hitters as well as ours handle theirs.
But this win means nothing once we reach postseason.
A few years back Monte's Tigers were undefeated in midweek games vs all the SC teams. Meanwhile, USC would have been 4th in the SC in-state standings behind Coastal and C of C. They even lost to USC-U that year. Nevertheless we went home earlier than they did that year.
So yeah, it's a better-than-average midweek win, and way better than a loss, but it's not as important as a conference game.

it's pretty apparent their success/ranking is based largely on a relatively soft schedule. They've played just two solid teams all season (Georgia twice and Clemson once) and they lost all three of those games.
