Well known PGA pro kidnapped from bar in Hawaii, beaten, robbed, and dumped by side of road 6 miles away. No link yet, but just announced on Golf Channel.

Thanks Sarge. I just thought after I posted it about how it would feel to me if I read that and I was standing there with the lumped up face .
I then thought ...I wonder if they sped out to the pineapple patch with Mr. Allenby , or did they just putter along ?

If they were in a pineapple field, bet everything you own that they wasn't walking in or out of it at any speed. If you ever walk in a pineapple field, you better be tall and wearing the best pair of chaps that money can buy, and the thickest ones also. Those spines are like needle points!!!

There are some bad folks in Hawaii...actually I read somewhere that Honolulu has an unusually high crime rate .

This is embarrassing. My wife and I, and I am sure a lot of other locals, are just hoping the thugs get caught! It is rare that tourists/non-locals are affected by violent crime, but we sure have our share of petty theft (stealing bags from cars). A lot is driven by ice addicts. You just can't leave anything of any potential value showing when you leave your car somewhere.
Somebody posted there are a lot of bad people in Hawaii. I can tell you one bad defensive lineman from Hawaii - Scott Pagano. Go Pagano!! Go Tigers!!

I lived in Hawaii from 87 to 91, and I'm still great friends with locals I met and befriended there. I received a package last Thursday, a gallon aloha soy-sauce, Mac nuts, salted seeds, dried cuddle fish, Kona coffee, and a new Hawaiian Calender. I never expected any of it, but my friends there do that several times a year b/c they know those are things I really liked there. MOST Hawaiians are good people!!!
