more ritualized spanking, at least from dad. It was, let's stand up in the kitchen or out in the yard on a moment's notice and I'm gonna put you on your azzzz.

It only happened 4-5 times, but it left a lasting impression. I think the last time I ever got physically disciplined was in the 8th or 9th grade, because I learned that Dad would fight me like a grown man if I got out of line, and I wasn't a grown man yet. For a long time I thought he was kind of a bully until I saw him and his brother get into it, and ol' boy just likes to be rough.

Yeah, he would probably be in jail in 2025. And I probably should hash all this out in therapy. But it was good times.

He is 72. But this MFer drives tractors and cuts trees down like it’s his business.

But I do remember the times he found a bong or a bowl and smashed it. We laugh about it now. A good man.
