What will be the straw that breaks the camel's back

Drones Friday night flying over Wright Patterson AFB and over the Newburgh NY airport required that air traffic into and out of Newburgh and Wright Patterson be temporarily halted.
John Kirby passed the reported earlier "drone events" off as manned aircraft. Some of it has been, but all of it has not been and the scale of these events is not an old issue. This is a new phenomenon..
Mayorkas as Homeland Security chief says he doesn't have the authority to do much about this. I haven't heard Lloyd Austin himself weigh in or Biden, but may have missed it.
Gov Kathy Hochul after Friday's latest event---..."this has gone too far."
Senator Chuck Schumer-"If the technology exists for a drone to make it up into the sky, there certainly is the technology that can track the craft with precision and determine what the heck is going on."
There is something odd going on which may be coordinated or a bunch of random folks doing weird shidd, but the Feds had best show some basic level of competence and soon, before we lose a commercial airliner.
Authority should certainly be given to bring down any unauthorized drones or aircraft flying over a military installation. .

I think the theory that...

They're our drones looking for something bad is making more and more sense. I mean, really, it's one of four things, right?
1. They're ours and that's why they won't talk to us about it. Either we're testing something out or there's a really big problem they don't want us to know about. 2. They're a foreign nation's drones and I would imagine we would have told the other country to #### right off by now. Surely we know where they're coming from if it's that. 3. They're a private company's and our government would have probably told them to knock it off. 4. They're... alien.
#1 makes the most sense of all of these, IMO.

an aerospace CEO that posited the same and that they are looking for something. And if they were looking for something like say, radiation…how do you announce that to the public without freaking err’body out. As stupid as we are with social media, there’s no telling what calamity might ensue.
I’m no expert, but I’ll lean what makes the most sense.

simply because it's so visible. Our government is way more likely to try and control the optics for something like this.
It does look like another nation is at least sponsoring this to me, though. These drones are massive and probably north of $100K apiece. The original ones over NJ are/were about the size of large trucks. Plus the coordination and some of the features we've seen as we're trying to observe them speak to high-level coordination and funding.

New Years Eve Celebration in NYC... The Inauguration of DJT
And if we are adding extras, the Super Bowl later the next month.
Both events are scary and horrible if there is a nuclear or dirty bomb terrorist attack.
Would an attack before Inauguration prompt martial law and a delay/cancellation of it? If you put on a tin foil hat, it's easy to comprehend.

#1 makes no sense because the Diddycrat Party’s big shots are lying, as usual, about their drones story. If there was a helpful purpose for US government deployed drones in which the purpose was a national security secret, then they would have quickly said so.
‘These drones which the public has been observing are real, and they are ours. They have been deployed, and their deployment will be ongoing until further notice, for reasons pertaining to national security. The use of these drones represents a precautionary measure, the practice of which will be modified as improvements in tactics and technologies happen. There is no crisis or imminent threat with which the American public should be concerned.’
Instead, the Diddycrats gaslight the American public. ‘…. radio silence from govt spokesmen …’ ‘You aren’t seeing drones.’ ‘You’re seeing airplanes, not drones.’ ‘The drones that you are seeing are private drones or foreign drones, and we have no more authority to neutralize those drones than we do to reinstate Trump’s southern border executive orders.’
Offering an inadequate number of potential scenarios as a tactic to ignore other legitimate choices that would be damaging to the public’s perception of the Diddycrats is a time honored tactic of shills for the Diddycratic Party.

It's only not reassuring if one is paranoid or gets worried easily. I am not a bit worried that they won't figure it out and that there is nothing to worry about in the big picture.

There will obviously be some changes in laws and penalties, if these are just basic citizens messing around, which sounds like it is in most cases.

Just like the Chinese spy balloon y’all got so worked up about, this will be much ado about nothing. Even if it’s some foreign actor, I’m much more concerned about the economy, interest rates, purchasing a new home, etc.

Predictably, the apologists and shills for the Diddycrat Party downplay the drones event and the obvious dishonest explanations from Didddycrat big shots.
This is because (1) they haven’t given up on their ever-weakening special interests political party and / or (2) they crave emotional comfort that comes from fooling themselves over cognitive discomfort from admitting to themselves that they are fools for continuing to believe proven not-credible sources of information.
Thus, the usual suspects dutifully spout the ‘nothing to worry about’ and ‘don’t trouble yourself because Big Brother knows best’ responses.
