I think we slow them down just enough and our offense is just too much for them and we will win easily in the 2 nd half. I just don't think they got enough firepower to keep up. Am I right or wrong?

O-line vs their stout D-line will tell story

Sensabaugh made that awesome interception last year to keep them from pulling within 7 early in fourth. Could be a real cat fight.
Can't let McCaleb do what Dyer did last year.

They are going to pound the ball all day against our inexperienced D-Line. Don't kid yourselves, McCaleb is a heck of a back and they have others in waiting behind him. The story will be our D. As young as our O-line is and as strong their D-line is supposed to be, I think Morris will find a way to score by a variety of means. We have to stop them from controlling the clock. That is what they must do against us and that is what they are going to try to do. We can't score if we don't have the ball.

We will have to capitalize on our offensive opportunities and not allow them to have 15-play, clock consuming drives.

rushing. Moseley has a bad arm and Frazier is known for his scrambling. I think they'll do exactly what you said... try to control the clock on offense by grinding it out on the ground. The biggest factor, I think, will be how well our DTs stuff the middle and whether Venables brings up the safety support.

I agree, the defense has to make stops and give the offense the ball. If the defense makes stops early and the offense scores early and jumps out to a 14 point lead then Auburn will have a stop trying to use the clock just to try to catch up. My prediction, the defense stops Auburn on the first times they have the ball, the offense jumps out to an early 21-0 lead then the Clemson Tigers cruise to a big 42-10 win. BUT the defense has to come to play like they did against VT last year.

McCaleb is not a between the tackles runner
Their OL is as inexperienced as our DL
Their defense was as bad as ours last year

One of our heavy hitters in the secondary puts a hard hit on the ball carrier early---forces a fumble and sets the tone for the season---this defense is going to have to be reckoned with!

He's too light and this is the reason why they didn't run him as much as Dyer. He's not a bruiser. he's a scat back and is good as a change of pace back.

True that they lost some key individuals, but they have had Top Ten recruiting classes for the past 3 years, so the cupboard is not bare. Yes - they might be inexperienced in certain areas, but they have quality players. Their DLine returns almost everyone, so expect them to be even better.
I just hope that all their players haven't learned enough yet about their new schemes and we can take advantage of a few situations.
I'm anxious to see Boyd attempt to run more to see if that opens up some things in the passing game.
I think we win - but we'll probably be behind for most of the game. I'll have to start drinking early I guess.

very close.
If Tahj throws a stupid pick 6 under pressure we will lose. I'm thinking the score will be 24-20 Clemson. Travis Blanks provides the pick 6 to win it.

Our depth or no depth on defense side. Just saying...No sammi also is an issue but I think our receivers will give them a run.
I hope I am wrong..
